ive fitted a fk coilover kit to my gsi. all nuts n bolts done up tight
but when im driving n slow down it knocks like there something lose
anyone got any ideas??

front or back? does it knock going over bumps aswell?

yh it knocks going over bumps and when slowing down and braking. sounds like battery moving around noise but its not that lol. and its front end

how much have you lowered it by? grab hold of the coilover when its jacked up and shake it to see if theres any play in the top mount

i rekon mines lowerd about 50 mm at the fornt, i will do what if there is play in the top mount? shok goosed?

mines brand new. erm its quite low but dont know how low the kit goes on the front. ill have a play with it 2moz see if theres any play. its a pain coz it sound like the cars gonna fall apart lol

yeh new top mounts, unless they havent been tightened up properly in the first place

yeh it comes as a kit, bout 15quid a side. another thing do you have bumpstops on the shocks?

do you know if it had rubber bumpstops slipped over the actual shock? if it doesnt then the shock might be bottoming out

its when the cars bouncing over bumps in the road or going fast to slowing down it sounds like its jumping off the shocks lol ill upload some vids of the noise if i can
