find your bleed screw or something for your fuel in the engine bay, haynes manual will show you where, then you can test if the pump is putting fuel through or not.

on the fuel rail there will be what looks like a tyre valve, take the cap off and press the middle of it , that will tell you whether your getting fuel or not.

if its on a 16v they dont come on with the ignition. only when the engine is turning over.

aah right ok,
what could be the problem of it not starting?
it turns over, but it wont start.

is eml on the dash flashing when you try it?

the eml lights just stay's on.
