Check your vacuum pipes. One to FPR one to fuel tank vent valve, one to MAP sensor , one to rocker cover breather
Also is your ATS in direct air flow?

think it could be the fuel tank vent valve now as there is only one pipe connected could this cause the problems then? many thanks lee

There should be one flexagle rubber pipe going to vacuum. Then the other goes to a hard thin black pipe that disappears behind the engine.

No it doesn't mine pulls hard from 2500 with no flat spots. Replacing my TPS solved that problem. But are you sure all your vac plumbng is right?

You shouldn't have extended it. You can just pull it back through the split loom. This maybe affecting the signal from the TPS

If a 'power box' makes it shit and reduces power then just put the standard stuff back in! If it is still shit then it is easier to fault find with standard gear on.
I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.

i had this problem with mine,
the vacume hosing given in most kits it pritty crap and when the engine gets warm it goes loose and doesnt seal propperly.
get some 3mm silicone hosing off ebay cost me £5 for 2 meters.
just need to plum the fuel vent valve, fuel pressure rail, and the manifold absalute pressure valve, into the hosing.
that made the car feel better to drive for me,
then i reduced the tp and icv wiring to just as much as was needed not any more, i know now that you can split the loom but with my car the icv wiring was spliced into the egr wiring so i couldnt strip it back and had to extend.
then i found that if you have a drilled air box it was still a git to drive, so replaced that, aswell as a new MAP sensor and CTS and hay presto it was all fixed.. only drove it for about 10 minuits tho as i stoped at a pelican crossing and got shunted now the cars writen off but it was all coshdy till then lol
