Hi, before cleaning my car i decided to de-rubstrip the sides. (the red ones, pre97). All was going well, got the strips off, removed all the clumpy bits of glue. And i fort T-cut colour restorer would remove this greyish line that is still there, it didn't. I dont know whether this is paint that has faded or a thin layer of glue that may come off with some sort of solvent. Can anyone shed some light on what i should do next?

READ TUTORIALS BEFORE POSTING A QUESTION THAT GETS ASKED A MILLION TIMES A WEEK.

I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.

alryt alryt, calm down. jeeez.
Just wanted to hear of other peoples experience and what they had done. And in the 3 pages of Help Zone, i couldn't find a thread on rubstrips, as i do not have the search tool.
Sorry if i have ruined your day. :/

And don't tell me to calm down. People need to be a little less lazy and do some research before asking questions that are so common.

christ, thought this forum was about helping people and sharing knowledge. I didnt ask to get grief. Its my first car, i havent got much experience, just trying to do small things to make it better and make it my own. If what i put angered you that much, ignore it. Wasn't causing any harm.

It doesn't anger me, I'm not angry at all. But it takes 5 minutes to check if a topic has been covered before.

White spirit isn't that strong so doesn't ruin the paint. When I did mine the grey was the bare metal

Thread stealer, nah jokin dude erm, well if you heat the industrial tape stuff underneath it goes stickey again so you could poss put it straight onto the adghesive you took it off from. Or peel the old adhesive and use some new industrial tape. Thats my guess anyway, if it makes sense
