Hey people today i unfortunately had the experience of a puncture on the way to work today and need to get 2 new tyres anyway. any recommendations? i have toyo proxes T1-R's on the front and found them good but need some more harder wearing ones?.

Tbh the harder wear the worse the handling.
To get harder wear the compound of rubber is harder meaning less grip.
If I can get 10-15k miles out of a set of front tyres i'm happy.

My personal favourite is the Goodyear F1 the Toyo Proxes.

Corsa Sport X16XE. Ye thats true well the ones ive got have done me really well. no idea how many miles they done because i got them 2nd hand anyway with a fair bit of tread on with my alloys for £80 ive had then about a year and a half so im happy too

You seriously don't want harder compound. I've been using my dads 1.8 Vectra whilst swapping the head on my XE.
He doesn't drive fast so we only fit budget tyres, They last ages but don't go round corners too well. It's understeer city

I used to love the Goodyear F1's on my old Astra GSi. I rate Proxes too which are on my XE Corsa now.

ah yea ur selling the engine from that aint ya. i really want it but for one cant afford due to the puncture and 2 dont have anywhere to keep it. but would love to purchase it. haha really bad timing!

Toyo Proxes PX4. c. £35 each. Can't go wrong
