Could I fit one of these to my Corsa to run my 1.6 16v (170bhp)? I'm sure I'm missing out on performance running my original 1.2 16v gearbox!

no it wont fit as the F20 gearbox is for a 'big' engine block and will not fit a 1.6 16v - so ive been told

With my current gearbox speeds and revs are as follows;

  • 1st: 32mph @ 7,500rpm
  • 2nd: 64mph @ 7,500rpm
  • 3rd: 92mph @ 7,500rpm
  • 4th: 112mph @ 7,500rpm
  • 5th: 130mph @ 7,000rpm

    If I put in a Corsa gsi gearbox would the speed be faster in each gear at 7,500rpm?

    ive got a F16 box in mine and gives the same sort of performance in each gear

    I'm just worried about my gearbox blowing up as its not made for these kind of speeds!

    I'm wanting to sell it, but am not having much luck! Whilst I've still got it, I just keep getting tempted to do more things to it!

    i need something better than mine cos the f13 is only designed to take 130 ilbst ft of torque and mine is at this already, gonna be more soon too, doh.
