Can anybody give me any advice on whether its a good idea?
also what i would need apart from engine obviously?
also what kinda price for the lot?
and last if i should do it myself with mate or take it somewhere?

the main question you should ask yourself is do you have enough money to do it right, by that I mean about 1500 ish

Its a good idea if you do it right and can afford insurance. You would can buy conversion kits with engine mounts etc, and youd abviously need a new gearbox and some new brakes are advised.

Hello mate i have just done a redtop conversion in my sport! you will need:
Engine
Loom
ECU
Gearbox
Mounts
Gearbox Spacer
Gear Linkage
Shafts
Hubs
Brakes
Suspension
And alot more fuel in your tank

Thats all i can think of off the top of my head but sure someone will add to this list

i can do them in a weekend , including movin the batt into the boot makes the bay look much cleaner

iirc mac takes 300 for a xe 600 for a let

if you decide to do it, you need someone with you who has done conversions before, just in case.

and it's a good idea, but only if you do it legally.
