Heya guys. Got a little bit of a problem. Lowered my car by 40mm the other day using some spax springs that i got cheap from halfords (£20!!!) but ive now run in to problems. For starters the ride just seems unbearable, every little bump and the car will fill like its gonna fall apart. for seconds, my rear archs are rubbing and I have no clue why. I suspect it to be the shocks cause they are standard, however I dont wanna go buy a whole new lowering kit with shocks and springs if its not gonna cure it.
Let me give you some background so you know what im working with...
Corsa 1.4 16v sport,
75k,
Lowered 40mm,
Standard shocks,
195/50 15 FOX** alloys.
I really wanna get this sorted, I hate it rubbing with just me in the car, and its a million times worse if someone sits in the back..
*Edit: I ment fox alloys, not TSWs.

Hello stranger.
Will be the alloys having the wrong offset. And or the shocks bottoming out.

rubbing? alloys are wrong offset more than likely, probably et35 when corsas run et49
as for the bouncy ride? lol - just a nice side effect to lowering, if it doesnt bump bounce n sound bad, youve not lowered it properly

The springs are probs 60mm to bottom out, your best of having springs and shortened shocks else you have these problems.

it will most prob be a combo of having standard shocks and the wrong offset wheels.
try and find some aftermarket shocks should be abit better but the wheels still may rub
