You have either not clipped the ram in properly or its faulty! most probably faulty!
Improvments not a lot really. At the mo the most memory i have and have seen on home computers is a 1Gb of RAM.

u need to put the largest/fastest block of RAM in the first slot on ur motherboard for it to work and register properly

And don't mix different speeds of RAM...
If you can get one-chip of the fastest-speed your motherboard can cope with, that'll work nicely!
Currently running: 512Mb of (PC3200-DDR400) memory!

You could run XMS 3500, but not actually run at 214mhz
I bet im the only one running DDR400 speeds lol

I have Twinmoss 3200 running at 204mhz... fine, I would get slightly better timings with Corsair, but it's twice the price.

corsair are great!
i got 256 333mhz XMS2700 i think it was.
bout 80£. has its own heat sink as well lol!
the idea is not to increase the size of ram, but to increase the speed.
ur probably running old school sdram, u should get a motherboard that supports ddr rom, with a fastest bus speed.
internet n shit may run smoother..
butfor difference up the mothoer board, up the ram! up the processer..
fuck it, from a simple ram upgrade to digging £300 out of ur pocket lol.

I'm more impressed that my ram runs at over 200mhz without the need for heatsinks...
don't get me wrong, if I could afford it, I'd go corsair everytime though.
