Is it removable? I know what the current password is but I like to just turn the computer on and boot it up without me having to type anything in 
Is there any way to remove it?

I'd look in the BIOS first
Look for "press delete to enter setup" or something along those lines when it starts up and have a mooch in there.

Had a look, can't do it in the BIOS, I can change the password to a different one but no option to remove it
