Hi does anyone no what type and what rating of thermo i should be using in a corsa b red top.

At the moment I put in a Halfrods! 2.0l 16v calibra type from 89 on. But car left idling it boils after about 10 mins, usual things checked, changed fan switch temp sensor and sender, shorted fan terminals and fan comes on.
12v supplied to fan switch etc. 1.4 sport rad fitted.
Anyone.
