Brakes went on car, I then managed to pull over but and on idle the car hunts and sounds awful. There is also a smell or burning plastic coming from the bottom of the exhaust manifold. Any ideas? Idle control valve but then why the brakes? Ecu fault? Burnt out some kinda sensor?

I think I had a period moment. Shit myself. Well just drove home without brakes, that was fun. Highly doubt ecu because of brakes. Idle control/afm maybe, but still no answer for brakes. I think it may be yours crana, but I'll have to check tomo oh it's an x18xe1.

Although I love sitting on the side of the road at two in the morning, it's just not practical when I have work in 6 hours time. Sorry Internet police!
I can see why it's irritating, but I needed a quick answer
