on my x16xe if the air flow meter is not working properly will it make it kangaroo when cold and goo abit when hot and my car smells of unburnt fuel at the back bit i have de-catted it and race tube and stainless back box

The X16XE doesn't use a AFM, it uses a map sensor and intake air temp sensor.
Could be the lambda, giving the wrong readings.
