Author F28 speedo help wont read over 30mph

My speedo only reads up to 30mph but takes ages to get there, was on M25 sat nav was saying i was at 60mph but speedo was going up to 30mph very slow. its a electronic speedo not mechanical clocks.

any ideas?

done a fault code reading Vehicle speed sensor 41 (and 31 which happens if engine is not running?)
