What is the typical compression on a x16xe - Wet and dry?

Pretty sure my valve stem seals are gone but I wanna make sure it's not piston rings before I rip it apart

Thanks

If it goes up when wet, its rings.

Different engines will give diff readings due to how worn in and stuff.

Yeh I can appreciate that, that's why I wanted to do a wet/dry compression test.

But what's the minium - maximum psi for the engine to be classed as 'healthy'?

i looked into this and i dont think theres a specific answer. personally i would say 180 psi would be good. what you dont want is more than around 10 psi difference per cylinder iirc
