As above, I tried this yesterday. I've not got a clue what I'm doing, just followed the on screen instructions on the XBox and on the website it told me to go to.
I'm getting as far as putting in the 8 digit code in that I got from the XBox into the correct menu on the laptop then it goes through a checklist. The first two are fine but then it gets to 'searching for extender' (extender = XBox by my reasoning) then it claims it can't find it. It says that a 'uPdp connection' (or something like that) is not on/ off and a Firewall might be stopping it from discovering it. But I turned off my firewall and it still didn't work.
The WiFi is definetely on (all this time the XBox is connected to Live) but after trying it a couple of times yesterday it just wasn't happening. Anyone tried this themselves and know what I need to do? And what are the advantages of doing it, I'm assuming I can play music and videos through the XBox? Was just going to connect them up and have a play with it tbh but then all this shit happened.
