they can, but they are notoriously difficult to do. i cracked a set after an hour of trying gently to prise them with a 450 degree heat gun and a lever. i have heard you can get pre-smoked valeos ( non diy )

I was going to buy a set of here for £60 but would rather do my own
But sure if i get 20 for my lights it wouldnt be to bad lol

if you want to do your own, unless you have an unlimited amound of patience and nerve, id get a set of DEPO headlamps. they piss apart compared to valeos

I cannot get them to split the black cover jst seems to crack ffs! Fuck this shit!

The black covers do split, you do one set with boiling water and carefully start to work the glass of with out damaging the glass, the black cover will be deformed and useless by the time your done.
So you need a second set, smash the glass with a hammer get as much glass out as possible first then I got a hair dryer and heated the glue enough so that it would scrape off with a flat blade screwdriver.
Its a lot of faffing around to save a few quid but I certainly won't be doing it again

you can get unsmoked depos brand new off ebay for like 40 quid posted, get some of those and split them
