Hi all...
About a month ago my redtop accured a very loud very annoying tap. This happened after a nice blast, so I changed and lifters but no avail, so I cleaned the pick up pipe and flushed the oil out, after this the tap was quietened down, took it out for another blast last night and D'oh same problem, same noise same position. This time iv cleaned up the pressure relief valve but still taps, the engine dosent hessitate, lose power, smoke, or show any signs of problems, bar the annoying very loud tap. Any help would be apprechated  thanks

What oil are you using? Might be a shout to switch to something thicker

Gunna give it an oil pressure check this week, and I'm using 10/40 semi

Probably a sticky lifter assuming its top end. Either wait untill it quiets down or whip out the lifters and clean them up

did you fit new lifters?if so gen vaux ones?
