Once running put a volt meter across it, if you're getting 14v your alternator is ok.
Cold weather will kill an already weak battery.

could be wrong but battery fluid is just distilled water... think you can get it from the chemist. if not try halfrauds maybe
and aye, as said put volt meter over the battery terminals and check what volts you've got, should be around 12v ish
was it totally flat when you tried starting it or did you run it flat trying?

^Not all batterys (Infact not many these days) can be refilled. Its not offen that its the water anyway.
With the car running you should get 14.4v.

Alternator not charging that batt would throw the batt light up though?
I've had batteries die on me purely cvos they are old and it was a cold night.

it was completley flat when i tried it....ill find a volt meter and re-charge my battery in a bit for a few hours and if tis not pushing 14.4v is it the alternator?

Yep, but the batt being flat as hell may give you a dogey reading if you check it at the battery. Check it from the alt live and earth to chassis imo

Right....cant find a volt meter....but went to my car and the central locking worked then it went 100% dead and then i wnt back to it later and the central locking worked but then turn the ignition and its dead so not alternator?

Can you get someone to jump it/have space to bump it?
If so do that and leave it running/go for a drive and see if it restarts

Jumped it, ran it for 10 minutes turned of for 1 minute and then it still turned on...
