Basically its all mounted in and its sitting at the right height and everything, but the bottom of the inlet seems to be a bit too low. By this i mean its touching the heater matrix pipe and is about 1.5mm away from the steering rack. Is this normal? If not, what could be causing this?

back mount on right ??mines had a good bit of clearance at the back

definately should be higher up, check you have the back mount in the right holes. The linkage for the gearbox is the closest to the steering rack on mine

just read that some are like that and that you just need to chop the heater matrix down a tad or bend it a bit.

I'd cut it back a bit myself

Yeah you need to cut the copper pipe back a bit. Amazed you got the hose on!

I didn't need to cut mine back and I had lots of clearance. Sounds like its not mounted right tbh.

I didn't either but read a few threads after this one and found quite a few where people have had to cut it back

Mine needed cutting. It rested on the hose.

mine was cut too. the marix has 2 swage lines on it and was just cut back to the second one.

Some of the later inlets had a thumb shaped bit on the bottom which maybe what is making yours different
