Well setting off in 1st gear, or reversing, when you give it some throttle, the revs come up then when the clutch gets to the biting point, the revs drop, then ping back up with the natural reaction to give it more throttle. Its perfectly fine if you set off by slowly lifting the clutch, or being very very light on the throttle and slowly lifting the clutch.

Once on the move its fine, drives spot on, idles spot on etc and no dash lights on or any other problems that would be in relation. Ive asked on Club Polo, but no replies, and some1 over on SVAG reckons its just the drive by wire on these being a cunt.

No what i wanted to hear. Can you maybe say that yours was the exact same, just to put my mind at rest.

I will strip some parts off 2morrow and clean out TB etc.

thats a strange one nik but there seems to be problems with clutch cables chaffing and the pedal coming back fully onlt thing i can think of
