just took the engine out of my new shell and noticed the starter motor is much smaller on the 1.2 even though it should fit on the 1.6 block, is it safe to use it or does the 1.6 require more power to turn over hence why its bigger? thanks

i dont think it matters ive used various small block ones interchanged them been fine.

I used my 1.2 8v on my 2.0 8v and was fine
