I went to change spark plugs other day cus car was misfiring and the plugs was covered in oil
And changed and still misfirin and coverd in oil sum garage sed it cud be piston ring

Are the wells where the plugs sit, full of oil when you pull the lead off? If so, your rocker gasket is leaking and the plugs are getting covered when you remove them.
If there's no oil in the wells, but oil in the bores and on the end of the plugs, id expect to see ALOT of blue smoke coming out of the exhaust?

Just taken rocker cover off and inside was full of oil so cleaned that up and put new gasket on went to do the screws up and sum wont do up so wont make a good seal so think thats the problem

If they've threaded, you'll need them helicoiled or a new cylinder head.

Are the bolts to keep the rocker cover down on the smallblock XE engines not on the cam shells?

rocker cover gasket needs replacing mate same happened to my 1.4 16v
