If it has how does he start it,i'm sure it's a button on the indicator stalk somewhere.

Does it have the button on the stalk?? Should be 2 buttons.
Will only work over 20mph. Push the button with the dimple on it to activate it, that will set it to the current speed, then use the same button to speed up, or the other button to slow down. Thats the basics.

Not sure on that. Both my Astra's that had it, didn't have any lights to say it was on, but i think my old Vectra C did have a light on the dash.

Just read something about having to press the brake pedal before you set off, for it to work. Think you do it just after the car is started.

No worries.
Report back how you get on if it works.
If its got everything fitted, theres not much that goes wrong if its not working. Just a brake switch, and a clutch switch which would be the most likely problem.
