My Tranny had terminal rot underneath, I know they are bad for it and the Citroen Ive got now isnt as known for it but Id still like to be proactive

its very very solid underneath with only a few blisters showing up, am I ok to just wire brush the lot to key it a bit and just leather it in black hammerite, or will this hold moisture in and make it worse.

do I need to go through the whole sand, spirit, red oxide then hammerite?

on my car i keyed it all up bare metal the bad bits then zinc primer and then stonechip the whole underneath
