Ok so is the vauxhall 1.6 8v engine all the same z16se? from the nova right through to the mk4 astra? could a nova engine run on astra mk4 ecu etc?

Also on a corsa C anyone know why the rear number plate light would stay on after the keys out doors locked etc

no 1.6's are different c16's x16's few more so not interchangeable

does it stay on permanently or for a few seconds?

It's going to be a faulty earth or for some reason it's wired as a permanent live, instead of ignition live.

in a astra mk4 there is a X16SZR and a Z16SE

mines a 1.6 8v mix and match

has bits off e16se, ecu and loom off a c14se, and a x16szr bottom end

So effectivly the engines are the same and could run off any management

yes as long as you have spi inlet with spi ecu loom etc, and same with mpi if you get me
