Is there a way or a gadget I can buy to basically create a wireless hdmi link? So I can use Iplayer or watch films on my TV without physically plugging the HDMI cable into my laptop?

I have a LG 32LE4900 TV and a Acer Aspire 4820T laptop if it makes any difference.

I have seen something on play.com, although that requires something to be plugged into the laptop

Any reason you don't want to? A cable is £1.50 on eBay..

Or get a RPie and install xbmc on it.

On phone so can't check, tv isn't a SMART TV I assume?
