I have a requirement to set up an old PC with Ubuntu (this PC will only be used for display a Flash animation, and for Firefox/the Internet - that's it).

What is the best way of locking it down so people can't go and fuck about with the settings/config of the PC? I've heard of something called Lockdown Editor, is that any good?

I was in an internet cafe on my travels once and they had some kind of Ubuntu system that only gave you access to the browser (and maybe a few other things). A quick Google shows this:

The other thing to do is just use Chrome OS if you just need a web browser: http://getchrome.eu/download.php

Thanks Ed. Yes the Flash animation can obviously work inside a browser window, and they can use the same browser window for using the Internet. They won't need anything else on there.
