Getting some new number plates soon for my mk4 astra, I don't have a drill.

Is it possible to make the holes using the screws that will hold the plate in place, instead of a drill or can this cause damage?

Alternatively, sticky pads are coming with the plate, so could I use them on a mk4 astra?

Cheers

stuck them on with sticky pads. The rear was hard as there was some ... kind of washers that I couldn't remove..(there for the screws to go into) in the way. But they're on

Cheers guys

If I'm picturing it right what you're saying, that's why Halfords also do double thickness ones. My car had raised areas where the screws went it so I just doubled up the sticky pads as I only had the thinner ones.

Those rawl plug things just pop out on Mk4 Astra's. Leaves a square hole underneath but the plate covers it anyway.

LOL went outside today and my rear number plate was on the floor behind my car...

So I removed the tabs and stuck it back on, I guess they kind of pushed it off because the plate was bent around those plastic tabs.
