Hi guys, recently fitted a c16xe into my 93 1.2 spi nova, the head was ported and polished and skimmed, new timing belt kit was fitted, headgasket set was also done, set the timing up and everything seemed spot on. So got it fitted into the bay of the nova, next up was the wiring. This how I've wired it...
Red 12v battery
Black 12v igniton live from engine
Blue coolant to clocks
Green rev counter to clocks
Blue/brown eml light to clocks
Yellow/brown used to flash the codes
Red/blue fuel pump
Earth from start charge loom to block, alterantor bracket to body, gearbox to chassis
So its getting a spark and fuel's getting to rail but won't fire into injectors...
Done a paperclip test and fault code came up for coolant temp sensor swapped the sensor for another one and cars's still not starting. Poured a little fuel down inlet and still didn't fire
Probs missed something stupid anyone got any ideas? Trying get it running as soon as possible, its not got a lamda or afm plugged in atm as waiting on them arriving but surely should still start... Also using 1.2 fuel pump, was told it was start off it

Which would indicate its not getting a spark.
Can't remember if you need a crank signal on those. If so then that would give you those symptoms if its not wired in.

It was getting a spark, just a little smoke came out the inlet but it didn't splutter or anything... So I'm guessing its a weak spark. Yeah its got a crank sensor it wouldn't get a spark if it didn't work. Fuel relay is clicking whilst cranking and fuels getting to the rail just not out the injectors

Done a bit more today, checked all the plugs in the bay see if they were getting power, which there. Redone the paperclip test faults 12 and 15 came up, 12 was just Initiation of diagnosis and 15 is high voltage to coolant temp sensor. Checked the cts wiring for power, earthed it and there was a noise from injectors or that area? So will a new cts fix that problem? My mates gsi corsa wouldn't run till it got a new cts

How big a job is it to swap in the CTS from the other car?

Pretty easy cts is the blue plug at the thermostat, just tried starting it with easy start but sounds like there's no compression, getting annoyed as this is my daily so need it running asap
