It should fit. Dunno if it will last very long though.

Why ask anyway??? Theres no point in swapping the 16v F13 g/box for whatever is on the 8v.

If you have it fit it. Will bolt straight on and will last years on a standard engine.

WEll, a 2nd hand £f13 box is only about £40-£60, so i'd go for one of them.

The F13 box on the Sport is a close ratio box designed to give good bottom end pull but loose out top end. Fitting a small box will probably make it worse tbh.

Sport is 1.4 16v and has f15 as it has dished flywheel.
GSi didnt have F16 as F16 is a big block gearbox, i'm sure the GSi would have had F15 as it had the dished flywheel.

My 1.6 has an F17 gearbox. 1.4 16v's have F15's. 1.2 8v gearbox's are F10's and would not last long at all in a 1.4 16v. F10 is designed for a maximum of 100 lb/ft torque, and the 1.4 is very close to this so its not desirable. The 1.2 8v gearbox also has very tall gearing, and would screw up your accleration. Stick with whats best, the F15.

confused i don't mind if its original as long as it fits and gives me reasonable performace so it looks like i need an F13 F15 or F17
