Dunno mate. I'm 20 and insured under my mum with CIS for 3 years.
When I declaired my 3 points for speeding my premium didn't go up. Infact extra year no claims brough it down.
I wouldn't loose too much sleep over it.

maybe i'm wrong and this is just an 'old wives tail' but i thought they brought in a new law a while ago where as unmarked police cars couldn't do you for speeding, due to u basically not knowing they are a police car ie entrapment or something like that. I never looked into it or anythin it was just a topic that someone else brought up on another site. Could be completely wrong though but may be worth checking

entrapment is committing a crime to to get another to commit a crime basically IIRC and therefore unmarked police cars are not breaking any laws
5 more MPH mate and you would have been banned

U may find it doesnt affect ur premium at all - I renewed this year and told them about my 3 points - and they told me that tehy note three points but ignore it in terms of extra cost - as so many people have 3 points now and its so easy to get more

They usualy recon 3pts for speeding wont effect insurance too much but more than that will bump it up. Im 21, driving for 0 years (not pased test yet) on a 1.4 corsa with my own insurance I'm paying £1065 + £210 for my alloys. If I got caught for anything I'd be up a certain creek without a paddle.

yea that a406 is a bit dodgy!
it even goes down to 40mph at brent cross/hangerlane end!
insurance usually let 3points go, as in they dont up the premuim. not sure about this tho.

I actually thought this 2. Altho like some1 said this aint entrapment. I just thought there had to be signs on the road that speed camras maybe in use or a clearly marked mobile speed camra van. I dont know the road, so there maybe some on it

Yes it's due to the M25 clause in your premium
