hello
just been to vauxhall for a diagnostic test and they said my EGR valve has gone and they can do it for £180+
has anyone had this fault before? if so, does it make any difference with the engine noise if this is replaced? cus mine is noisy.
has anyone fitted one and is it easy?
thanks
ollie

You dont say what model its for, but i have changed mine on my 1.0l 12v and its dead easy. All i had to do on mine was undo 4 bolts and unclip the water hose that goes onto the egr valve and replace the gasket and put on new valve.

Its not easy on the sport. alot of stuff has to be taken out to gain access.
Great thinking from vaux

I got mine replaced on a 1.2 16v and had a look after and it'd looked easy enough, could of done it myself!
But as u asked, no it made no difference to any engine noise.
