iv just bought a n p reg corsa sport n last night raced my mates 106 1.4 xr. its a new car so im not very used to it but i couldnt catch him. iv looked on parkers n the pug 106XR has 75bhp! i should have shit on him shouldnt i?

Maybe your crap at driving?
Also what was the race to (speed wise)
8v's have more torque lower down so could be quicker off a standing start like lights - but then as you get to 3rd gear you'll pull away....

well the roads quite long but we had to break about half way down cos the police had pulled sum1 over. only jus got into third, maybe if we'd kept going i would have caught up

yer them 8v's are nippy'er off the mark than a 16v as ur peak would be higher...slap it in 3rd gear and ya will be gone
