Whats this thig the 1.4 sri engines have that use a fan thig to Ree use Exhaust gass?

am i right in thinking this can be removed? and what will this do?

its the egr system i dont think it can be taken off easily

or a you getting mixed uo with the secondary air pump which warms up the cat through the exhaust manifold. If so yes this can be removed just have to plug the hole

the secondary air pump, bacially on start up the engine runs rich the air pump basically pumps air into the manifold to stop it running so rich as it weere, simply unbolt it, job done

no, just pull it off leave the top hat on the manifold, if there is no vacume line to it it wont open

nope, leave the wiring there plugged int othe sensor.

its npot the egr valve its the secondary air pump, people confuse it

yeah thats the secondary air pump, nothing to do with the egr! just pull it off, the egr is easy to blank off to, just go to vauxhall and ask for a blanking plate lol
