hey there, was out in my 1.4 8v sri last night, and hit a few to many revs in a low gear. now wen the engine ticks over theres a knockin noise, the dad thinks its the fuel injectors and others think its the cam belt or even the cam, has anyone else had this problem?

is it a knocking from the bottom or a tapping from the top?

its a tapping from the top, the engine hasnt stoppd but its lost some power

engines dont like hitting the rev limiter simple as. im just used to mine tapping a bit loud when it gets ragged normally goes away after sticking a bit of oil in

ok cheers, well i just took it for a spin up the bipass, and it started to knock nd stopped, nd now is whistling, i found where the tappin is and its from the injectors but its still nt gettin the speed it was from the gears
