As it says what the fuck is it as its really startin to annoy me now.
In the morning when I start my engine it makes a whistling noise really loud out of the part marked with the circle, air coming out of it really fast. Lasts about 3-4 minutes before stopping.
It also happens after my cars parked far a few hours, the longer the engine isn't runnung the the longer it makes the noise. You can leave it about upto 3 hours before it starts when you start the engine
Should this be happening and can i stop it? My car's a 1.4 sport btw. Thanks guys

there should be a pipe that goes form the secondry air pump to your inlet manifold somewhere.iirc.it helps your engine warm up when its cold.thats why its trying to pump air into the engine when you start it from cold but there is a pipe missing.

the pipe should go from the secondry air pump to your egr valve.if you have had an after market exhaust manifold fitted you wont be able to fit that pipe.it should be fine to use but iff you want to get rid of that noise you will have to remove the secondry air pump.heres a pic of how it should look with a standard manifold.stollen from someone of here.

The bit on the exhaust manifold is not the EGR valve.

The SAI increases the temperature of the cat to get it working more quickly.
It doesn't effect engine temperature. And yes it does sound like a dyson
Just unplug the pump, sorted,lol.
But leave the switchover valve(on the turret) plugged in.

Suppose its commmon sense to unplug it if its makin the noise but I didnt know if I needed it.
