Im pretty confident that omega pistons will sit nicely in these small block XE which should help with power gains.
I know you can mod the X14XE for a safe 150BHP as a guide for you !!

Could either go to local scrap yard and salvage them from an omega there
or
Go to your local vaux dealer. Though would recommend trying scrapyard though!!

Nah preferably the pocketed omega pistons.
but basically the 4cylinder engined ones.
I know the X14Xe (in detail now) is safe for 182BHP mapped at the flywheel and 154BHP at the wheels.
though bear in mind, the set-up used for that particular corsa was for a rally set-up!
But shows what is possible!

Easier id imagine fron the 16XE as it's the daddy compared to the 14XE and much more flexibility but full spec of it was:-
X14XE
Omega Forged Pistons
Steel Rods
JRE Cams
Vernier Pulleys
Titanium valve caps
Solid Lifters
lightened and balanced
Weber Alpha throttle bodies and fully adjustable ignition
Mapped for 182BHP at the flywheel
154BHP at the wheels at 8400RPM rev limit raised to 9000RPM
4-2-1 equal-length large bore exhaust manifold wrapped to reduce under-bonnet temperatures
2-5inch competition exhaust with twin silencers.
So neither straight forward or cost effective, but it works!! lol
If want anymore on transmission, suspension etc u2u me ya email and i'll write it out 4ya matey

Ah nice, well 2bh the 14XE and 16XE are more or less the same cept for a few differences in timing i believe? (someone pls correct if can)
But most if not all of that spec should be safe for the 16XE if anything!
Good luck anyway!

Standard pistons are good for a proven 190bhp on a 1.6, but safely, you'd only want to run 170-180.
Omega pistons aren't pistons taken from an Omega, Omega are a piston manufacturer, like Wiseco, Wossner, Mahle....
I wouldn't bother with modifying the 1.4 (I've been there, believe me, it's not worth it), you'd be much better off getting a 1.6 engine in your car (or buying a 1.6 Corsa), the engine has more potential for power, and a standard 1.6 will cost less than getting 1.6 performance from a 1.4.
130bhp will be fine on an X16XE with 100% standard internals, what you'll need is;
Enclosed induction kit (Pipercross Viper or similar)
Lexmaul/Dbilas/Mantzel style inlet
4-2-1 Exhaust manifold
Decat
Full system with 2.25" bore
Remap with a 7200ish RPM rev limit.
That'll see you 130bhp with no trouble at all, possibly more with a Mantzel/Dbilas style inlet, then you could go for a ported head on top of that, cams, vernier pullies and you'd be looking at over 150bhp.
Anything more than that and you're starting to move into expensive territory.
If you want any prices for the above bits, u2u me.

They're identical apart from the capacity basically.
Everything you've listed for that engine will fit the 1.6 directly.
