Hi All,
I've noticed that the nozzle clicks far too frequently when I'm filling up and no matter how many times I adjust the angle and depth of the nozzle, it still happens.
Last night, the pump "timed out" as it took me over 5 mins to put a measly 25 litres of fuel in and in the end I had to fill up in two installments.
Could this be an issue with a breather pipe being blocked? If not, what else could it be?
Cheers

I've an old (93-94) haynes manual, would that have the removal procedure in it for the filler?
Do I need to drain the tank?

the fuel filler pipe has a restrictor inside it designed to prevent you from putting diesel into a petrol car, as the diesel pump nozzle is larger than a petrol, these restrictors come loose and jam down inside the filler neck, sometimes it is possible to fish it out with a coat hanger but tbh itl just fall back down sooner or later, av found that if you squeeze gently when filling it doesnt click off as much

Just hold the lever in the pump at about 3/4, most will just keep going until the 'official' click. Always had this problem with peoples cars when I worked in the petrol station.
Takes a little bit longer but at least you can fill up

Had a look with the torch today and part of the cap had borken away and was sitting further down the pipe.
I tried to fish it out with a coathanger and ended up breaking a small bit of it and wedging it to the side/wall.
I tested it by filling up and all seems well
