I bought a corsa off my mate a few months ago for a run around. I now have no need for it and want to sell it. Unfortunatly the tax ran out yesterday and i have no insurance on it as its off the road until sold.

Also my mate never sent in the registration form thing so its still registered to him. He did send it the other day though.

So in the next 2 weeks i need to register it and preferably tax it, but possibly declare it off the road.

Please help! I dont want to get hit with a fine for not paying tax.

I didn't realise my tax had ran out for 3 months, never got charged fuck all...

Some people do manage to get away with it, but i know people who have been hit.

Just don't pay the fine and explain the situation to the dvla if worst comes to worst

Yeah, ive sent them an email so hopefully they can see and understand the situation.

I want to sell the car asap though.

If it is still registered in his name then he will have been sent the for for taxing it so get him to tick the sorn box and hand it in2 the post office

your mate will get the fine for no tax if it was registered to him. not your car till he sends logbook with change of keeper if you get what i mean.
