basically when its cold it ildes to low and will cut out so have to keep the revs up until its warmed up and then its fine but evry now and again it will cut out at junctions when you stop or wil rev upto 3k and then back down and will keep on doing that and the ecu light will come on
so far ive changed, the icv, throttle body sensor and afm with spare ones that i had lying around,
what else can it be?

what that ste? and where is it located? someone said it could be the egr valve but iam sure that wouldnt cause that would it

coolant temp sensor..
not 100% that the 16xe has one, but your problems sort of sound's like a problem linked to the cts on and 20xe

Its on the thermostat housing next to the dash temp sender
