Hi all

Has anyone got any advice or tips on rehoning a block as im going to be having ago at it myself

Always keep it rotating, don't let it stop inside the cylinder.

use a flexhone. use the cor4rect grade grit for the rings and make sure you have adequate tooling for measuring the bore. ensure the angle of the hone is correct for the use of the engine and the oil used.

wat should be recomended for the C20XE dave plus will i be able to use a 20seh crank in this block

40-45 degree hone, 120-180 grit flex tool and about 600 rpm, 2 strokes per second.

could you explain a bit more about the above please dave,i too am gonna have to do this,

ive heard an 8v one will fit so im gona try and get one of them as it will be cheaper, but still havnt got one lined up

ill ask a few more mates tonight but most of them are tight arse buggers who keep mass stashes of parts that they won't part with although they'll never need em
