got stuck in traffic the other day n my car started tappin its bag off so got back the garage and changed the oil and filter started it up n it tapped then went away have any of u guys had this problem oh after the oil change i drove to scotland and it started tappin then kept goin an comin?tappets or maybe oil pump

best way is to remove your hydraulic valve lifters disassemble them (haynes manual if your not confident) and clean out all the shit and wack em back in mate, or replace them.

ive bin told it could also b the oil pump not giving the top end enuf oil is it a common thing on the x14xe?
