i bought a car with a aftermarket alarm system, think its called a meta system

basically i have no key fob for it so the alarm will need taking out

anyone know how to remove the alarm or does it have a "brain" you can remove and disarm it

Depends if it has an immobiliser in it, removing alarms is best done by following each wire one at a time before cutting it to find out what it was. Cut them all and you risk a car that wont start if it had an immobiliser

dont think it has an immobiliser if it did shouldnt it have come on after the alarm was set off?

Yes it should, have you tried starting it with the alarm going off?
