just fitted a power box to my car, it doesnt idel very well. as in its at 2,000rpm at idle. and when i let off accellerator pedal it goes to 3,000 b4 droping to 1,500, for a second then goes to 2,000 agen.
and its not any faster at all.
what you thinkin it could be?

cheack that the trottle shuts proply and there is a lil slack in the trottle cable, it want be amzingly faster but you should feel it pull more in the gears. Like you say its not running proply so its not going to be making it feel faster yet

yeh the cable's slack.
is this the pipe that your supposed to get rid of when fitting power box? Circled in yellow.

no thats the breather pipe you need to re-fit that then just run it down under the header tank

yup, well you can buy a lillte breather filter for it but they don't really do much just make it pritty

sounds like an air leak to me, did you replace the gaskets between hte 2 halves of the inlet amnifolds, and use gasket sealant?
and did you do the same for the TB to inlet plenum joint?

didnt change the inlet gasket coz it looked fine and use that clear selent. didnt use a gasket for the throttle body. should u have done?

yes thats where the air leak will be, its a paper gasket probaly about £1 from vaux, preplace the other one whilst your at it aswell

can i not just make 1 myself seems its a sat and there shut?

proper gasket paper will be ok, however you standard A4 printer paer wont quite cut it.
if you make sure it makes a complete seal, you could use the clear sealant you mentioned

done it, doesnt rev silly anymore.
cant really tell the difference in power tho tbh.

you should feel quite a massive improvement at 4000 - 7000rpm

well 2day i gave it a good blast, and didnt know that the power was way up the rev range like 5,300 upwards, and yes OMFG its like a mini turbo lol.
and it does pull slightly better from 4000 rpm.

due to the fact that a janspeed 4-2-1 manifold really improves low to mid range performance i should think that is why i see a bigger gain from 4000rpm onwards
also what air filter set up are you running?
