Dunno about poor idle, maybe fuel filter?

But, as for valve stem oil seals, mine did is when I got mine, I got some stuff from my local auto spares, oils seal replenisher or something. Put it in with a fresh oil change. Doesn't do it now.

Probs wont last forever but cheap fix rather than doing the seals!

well its running lumpy sounds as if its running on 3 cylinders gonna get head gasket kit wich includes valve stem seals replace them also piston rings so hopefully should cure all probolems
