when the car has been sitting at idle for a few minutes and i drive off it smokes a bit then stops when the car cools down.only seems to do it when the engine is hot.i have checked the oil (no mayo or oil use) and water (no usage and no contamination).also blew down the breather pipes and there was no resistance.
any ideas people

its really strange because it doesnt even smoke on startup

mine does a similar thing, im not concerned though as my compression is fine and its not using oil probably just running rich and apperaing a bit blue.

had issues with my 1.4 simular to your story turned out to be the valve stem oil seals, sorted it now as ive rebuilt the engine to a higher spec.

but it isn't burning oil so it wont be valve stem seals.
