Going to start painting the new wheels I have got for the Astra. Going to do them myself with some aerosols.
Was just wandering how much of each type of aerosol I will need.
So roughly how much Primer, Colour and laquer will I need.
So far I have decided to do the fronts one colour and the insides Matt black (Makes them a bit easier to clean).

when i done my gf wheels i used 6 cans of paint on 17s lol but i had to do a couple of bits again
it dose all depend on how good you r with rattle canns m8

i think 1 can of each will do 2 wheels ie 1 can of primer will do 2 wheels 1 can of paint will do 2 wheels and 1 can of laquer that would be roughly about right not guaranteed though because i havent sprayed wheels before and im not a painter just a guess but to be on the safe side get 1 can for each wheel then you cant go wrong and as vinnie sed depends what you paint like how many times you give your wheels a coat and how many times you decide to sand your primer back

and then your guaranteed to have paint left for other things to match your alloys with something else or always handy to hide a bit of curbing or something or to go over your wheels if the paint starts flaking of

Id suggest a can of primer per wheel and 1.5 cans normal paint for each wheel, but you will want plenty of lacquer on top, otherwise the wheels will be a real pain to clean, i found lacquer gives a nice shine too.

when i done hurs i never used lacquer as she some times hits the kerb so its easy to paint touch them up with no lacquer

you doing the whole wheel or just the face?
i used 2 primers and 4paints (500ml) on the vectra 16's i did last year.
Got a set of 17's to do next for the ATR.
