Whats the best way of doing this

ive heard using the "2 nut method" seems to be the best
Is it literaly pop 2 bolts onto one end and lock them together. Then use the top nut to screw the stud in and the bottom nut to screw it out?

Or is there a better way?

When working with studs before Iv always used the method of "double nutting" like youve described. Seems the best way and saves damaging the threads at all
