as you can see...i got 155 which is standard for the engine (XE20) but as it got to over 6rpm, the car just died :-(
but i was hopin for a bit more as thought the 4 branch manifold, power carp, de cat pipe n full exhaust system will do somet.
now i do have a boost valve fitted which has been playin up. when its set to 3 bar the engine underfuels so have to set it to around 4-5bar. also get a strong smell of petrol when i stop :-( but i expect this to be because im overfuelin like a twat.
Also....my car does seem to like 4th and 5th gear at all as the car just hits a massive flat spot. top speed i have got to is 120mph @ around 5500 revs but which it wudnt go further.
Another thin is that i still have my 1.4 8v fuel pump on....would that be part of the problem im having???
i think thats all lol
cheers

well you shoudl expect abotu 145-149lbs, but worn rings will reduce this. XE's normally die after abotu 6k, so that's normal, if you want to improve it then get some verniner pulleys and retard the inlet cam slightly. looks like the fueling is well off, get the injector refurb'd and clean'd up. does it run a lambda or adjustable AFM??

to be honest i have no idea lol
is it normal for it to feel dead in 4th n 5th gear then?
was think of gettin some cams for it.
replacing the rings....is that a hard job to do? and expensive?

the power cap is causing the loss in torque..... it gives you a flatter 'curve' with its peak further up the range.... giving higher BHP.
REMOVE the shite fse valve..... you dont need it, your car is running shit because you are over fueling it!!!!!

you will need a std regulator if it has been removed....
Im not gauranteeing that the reg is the only prob... but you dont need all that fuel for such minor mods...
If your unsure about the pump, fit a GSi one

Go to the local motor factors and ask for the FPR from the astra GTE or whihc every you got the engine from.

the UNICHIP is a blank unit until its mapped for your car...
get it done with the cams, or just after so you can get good before/after plot to show you the gains
